Something tells me US taxpayers would've gotten a better deal buying up the Toronto Stock Exchange than they did bailing out AIG, et al. Alternately, sleeping through more global catastrophe doesn't seem very sane for the survival-minded, so a 900 million year supply of lattes might be an even better investment... assuming someone is still able to grow coffee that far into the future.
